Agsafe’s Agvet Chemical Supplier Course – Toowoomba
12 December, 2018
Are your staff trained in chemical handling?
Safety of staff and customers always comes first and if your business stores agricultural and veterinary chemicals, it’s vital to everyone on the premises that employees get the right training.
Agsafe’s flagship Agvet Chemical Supplier Course was created for anyone involved with handling agvet chemicals and covers chemical toxicity, SDS, duty of care, emergency procedures, transport, storage and handling.
This flagship course is suitable for those who have worked in the agvet chemical sector for 12 months, in addition to those with many years experience. It is interactive, challenging and an excellent way to learn about the industry. This course is suitable to gain Agsafe Initial Accreditation or Reaccreditation.
This course is delivered as three modules for Initial Accreditation and Agsafe members seeking reaccreditation will only need to complete the first two modules.
- Contribute to workplace health and safety covering duty of care, workplace hazards, safe work practices and emergencies.
- Provide information on agvet chemicals covering labels, SDSs, chemical toxicity and customer services.
- Transport, handle and store agvet chemicals, which covers the responsibilities of handling, transporting and storing agvet chemicals, plus other storage considerations.
300 Agsafe personal accreditation points are awarded for Personal Accreditation upon successful completion of the course.
