Mary has a rural upbringing and passion for agriculture. She understands the diverse challenges faced by the rural sector and the people who work within it.

After spending her whole life working in rural and remote Australia, Mary knows country bloke. She’s worked with them, for them, and beside them, and she knows how to talk to them.

Mary’s down to earth perspective resonates with rural communities and allows her to connect country men with life saving support.

Mary O’Brien is an advocate for mental health, particularly men’s, in rural areas and will be at the Beeron event to share her story.
