Community Resilience Officer – South Burnett

Are you ready to join a dynamic and growing natural resource management organisation focused on promoting sustainability in the Burnett?

The Burnett Catchment Care Association (BCCA) is looking for a Community Resilience Officer (Agriculture) to join our team. The hours are negotiable between 25 and 35 hours per week. The successful applicant will be responsible for building and enhancing natural disaster resilience of the agricultural South Burnett regional communities under the Commonwealth Government’s – Disaster Ready Fund, delivered by BCCA.

Applicants should have tertiary qualifications in the field of agricultural science or management or natural resource management and should demonstrate skills project management and delivery. Ideally applicants would have an understanding a good understanding of agricultural best management practices within the Burnett region as well as an understanding of resilience and sustainability principles. It would be preferred if the applicant had previous experience in a similar role for an organisation where the position was largely self-directed and was responsible for jointly planning the project.
