This March and April, keep an eye out for Burnett Catchment Care Association Extension Officers, Veronica Chapman, doing the rounds with Graziers, promoting the Federal Government’s Reef Trust Phase III: Reef Alliance – Growing a Great Barrier Reef project. Veronica will be out engaging with Graziers to deliver personalised training and support for the betterment of grazing land management and water quality in the Burnett catchment. Focusing on groundcover issues and streambank erosion, she is looking for Graziers in the target area who are concerned about these issues on their land. The Reef Trust Phase III program aims to improve grazing land management through education and awareness, and targeted on-ground support to the mutual benefit of Graziers and the Great Barrier Reef.

If you know of graziers in the Burnett catchment looking to improve the condition of their land and their own skillsets, please direct them to further information on the our website.  General information and direction can also be sourced through the Burnett Mary Regional Group website bmrg.org.au.
