We had a great turnout for our Compost Tea workshop in Mundubbera this week. Producers came from all over the catchment to learn about compost, why it’s so good and how to put it to use by making it into a liquid form.
As fertiliser prices continue to rise, graziers, horiticulturalists and gardeners alike are looking for alternatives to synthetic fertilisers to keep life in the soil and keep the soil producing healthy plants.
Funded by BMRG’s ‘Better Catchments’ program the workshop aimed to inform landholders of the options available to improve soils and how they can be managed in sustainable way.
The workshop was so successful that we hope to be able to put another on during the year.
