Pasture Cropping, Grazing Management and Carbon
18 & 19 April – Mundubbera
You can attend one day or two days depending on your time commitments.
This is a unique opportunity to learn the latest cutting edge science of grazing management combined with a full hands on day with Australia’s number one PASTURE CROPPING farmer (Colin Seis).
DAY ONE: Shane Krafft (Thangool) will present focussing on the soil, rotational grazing, carbon, profitability and many other topics.
DAY TWO: Colin Seis (Gulgong, NSW) is the original developer of the Pasture Cropping concept more than 17 years ago, will present. Colin will explain the various techniques, adaptations and uses for pasture cropping. He will show examples of equipment used and gross margins achieved. This is a once off workshop being delivered for primary producers who really want to improve ground cover and increase production in the winter months. Day 2 will include a field trip to Scott Laidlers property “Karingal”, Monogorilby to inspect equipment and paddocks being pasture cropped.
In the Burnett region, the workshop is being run with support from the Burnett Catchment Care Association and the Central Burnett Land Management Advisory Group as well as the Australian Government’s Caring For Our Country Program.
