Mundubbera Mania Kids Environment Expo for primary students in the Mundubbera region was on this week to great success! Burnett Inland North Local Government Area Cluster (BINLGAC) coordinator Lee Dorahy organised the event with 6 local organisations including the BCCA and 120 students from Mundubbera, Monogorilby and Binjour State Schools. Better Burnett coordinator Katie Sibson was involved in showcasing waterbugs from our catchment with BCCA Central member, Marion Denholm. Fellow Better Burnett team members Louise Newman and Michelle Stumm taught the students (and the teachers!) how to find animals without needing to see them, just by simply by taking a look at footprints, scats (poo) or other traces like bones or feathers. The team had a hoot of a time and it seems the kids did too!
