Bundaberg Fruit & Vegetable Growers (BFVG) is running a free 2-day course in negotiation and influencing at Fairymead House in Bundaberg.

The workshop has been developed for the horticulture industry by the horticulture industry.

It has been designed specifically to help growers navigate difficult conversations, become better communicators, and feel more confident in influencing conversations for a better outcome. It is intended to help develop personal capacity to negotiate and influence.

Topics that will be covered include:

• Control and influence the conversation to get to better pricing outcomes
• Preparing effectively to combat wholesaler retail push
• Identifying tactics and a strategy to respond
• Using language to create cooperation
• Managing emotional and difficult conversations
• Avoiding conflict

The workshop is an initiative of the VegNET and VegPRO projects which are funded by peak
industry body Hort Innovation with vegetable grower levies and Australian Government
funding.
