Kit Pharo – Ranching Made Profitable, Enjoyable and Sustainable

A well-known rancher and speaker from Cheyenne Wells in Colorado, USA, Kit Pharo runs Pharo Cattle Company with wife Deanna and son Tyson. Starting out as a small ‘Mum & Dad’ operation, they are now an internationally renowned stud selling over 900 bulls per year.

Kit authors the famous Herd Quitter blog, which has over 26,000 active subscribers. Herd Quitter is a term coined to refer to those people who have the courage to break away from the status quo, herd mentality way of thinking. Early in Kit’s cattle business life, he discovered that increasing production wasn’t nearly as important as increasing profits AND there was very little correlation between production and profit. In order to become more profitable, he and Deanna had to become ‘herd quitters’.

Kit’s philosophies and genetics have been proven to increase profit per acre in nearly all environments and have helped producers around the world find the competitive advantage.
