This survey is targeted at primary producers in the southern Burnett River catchment area.  Please read through the information below and make sure you are eligible before commencing the survey.

To be eligible you must fulfil both of the following criteria:

  • You are a primary producer (big, small and everything in between). This includes farmers, grazier, horticulturist or other person owning, managing or working on a property that grows and sells products (primary produce). This also includes managers, staff and family members on farms/properties.
  • You are living or working in the southern Burnett River Catchment area. This includes most of the South Burnett Regional Council area and some of the Gympie Regional Council area. It may include postcodes 4601, 4605, 4606, 4608, 4610, 4611, 4612, 4613 and 4615. The area is included is shaded yellow on the map below.

The link for the survey is here –  SB Primary Producer Survey.

The purpose of the survey is to help the Burnett Catchment Care Association (BCCA) find out what information, events, actions or support would be of most assistance to support primary producers in the southern Burnett River catchment area.  The support does not need to be provided directly by us (BCCA) and does not need to be directly related to land management actions or business actions either.

Several people from a single business can individually complete and submit the survey.  We appreciate there can be a range of ideas, thoughts and experiences within families and businesses, all of which are important.

BCCA has contributed a prize of a $200 voucher for a grocery store of the winner’s choice (preferably located within the inland southern Burnett River catchment area).

*Eligible participants are permitted to enter a prize draw once only. Eligible primary producers from the same household may each enter the prize draw if the survey is submitted individually.

The prize draw will take place in January 2025. The winner will be drawn randomly from the eligible entries and contacted via phone immediately after the prize draw.

If the winner cannot be contacted via the information they have provided after reasonable attempts to contact them by BCCA – their entry will be revoked and the prize drawn again.

* An eligible participant for the purpose of the prize draw is someone who meets the criteria as a primary producer (small, medium or large) and is located (owner, manager or worker) within the target survey area as outlined previously on this page.

The winner’s name will only be publicly announced with their permission.
