BCCA is excited to welcome Wendy Thorsborne and Ann McKenzie to the team.  Both ladies have extensive experience and will bring great expertise to their roles as Community Resilience Officers.

Wendy and Ann are from the South Burnett area and have a keen interest in building the capacity of agricultural communities impacted by natural disasters and droughts. The have a wealth of knowledge about the Burnett Inland – specifically farm management, natural resource management (NRM) and farm biosecurity.

Working for BCCA they are delivering a project “Building Resilience in the Agricultural South Burnett”. Wendy and Ann are currently undertaking a comprehensive needs analysis to build the foundation of the project. They will be asking the industry their thoughts on what support or information farmers; graziers and other primary producers in the South Burnett region really need to strengthen their business and deal with natural disasters and droughts.

If you would like to provide input to this project, please contact us at [email protected] or [email protected]
