Dieback is defined as grass dying in an entire paddock or a significant area of a paddock. Bluegrass pasture dieback has been reported along the coastal and inland areas of central Queensland & the Wide Bay Burnett. There are also reports of Native Bluegrass, Rhodes, Signal and Pangola grass in the Wide Bay Burnett region suffering from dieback. MLA pasture dieback survey; Damien O’Sullivan, Senior Extension Officer with DAF, is urging all graziers with affected pasture to complete the survey; it is hoped this information will help attract funds to investigate the issue.
