It is official – the ‘Better Burnett’ project is up and running. The project was launched on the 20th of August at the Burnett Mary Regional Group’s Bundaberg office. The project was launched by the Assistant Minister for Environment and Water Resources, Mr John Cobb and also the Member for Hinkler, Mr Paul Neville. The Launch started at 10:00am and BMRG Chief Executive, Mr David Brown, Mr Paul Lobegeier Chairman of the BCCA and the entire Better Burnett team were there to welcome the guests.
Despite the strong wind warnings forecast for the coast it was a fine sunny day in Bundaberg. It was great to see so many people attending despite the short notice. Many of our guests travelled a long way to attend and I would like to express the gratitude of the entire team to everyone for making the time and effort. It was a great morning and I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves! Hopefully, such a successful start for our project promises continued successes into the future.
