BCCA announces that the fifth and final year of Reef Rescue Grazing is now open and we are accepting expressions of interest from graziers interested in participating.
Reef Rescue is an initiative of the Australian Government’s Caring for Our Country program aimed at improving water quality in the Great Barrier Reef Lagoon through assisting farmers and graziers to improve their management practices. Within the grazing industry in the Burnett Mary region, this means providing support to our coastal graziers to improve and enhance their current grazing management.
The priority area for Reef Rescue Grazing is the coastal Burnett region as it has been in previous years (see map).
If you have been involved with Reef Rescue Grazing in the past 4 years and wish to be involved in Year 5, please CLICK HERE for your Expression of Interest form. However, please note past participants must undertake a different improved management practice to what they were funded to implement in previous Reef Rescue Grazing years, unless the practice is to be undertaken on a different property.
If you are new to the Reef Rescue Grazing program, please CLICK HERE for your Expression of Interest form.
Expressions of Interest close 13 April 2012.
If you have any questions about the program, please call BCCA on (07) 41663898 or email us at [email protected].
