DESCRIPTION:Department of Agriculture and Fisheries\, Grazing Resilience and Sustainable Solutions (GRASS) program is holding an expo in Thangool to offer graziers the opportunity to see how they can benefit from the program. \nDesigned to help beef producers in the Burdekin\, Fitzroy and Burnett-Mary reef catchments\, GRASS delivers one-on-one support and tailored management plans to improve land that is in poor condition. \nGraziers who participate in GRASS can access a wide range of resources and apply for incentive funding to undertake projects to improve areas of land in poor condition. \nThe GRASS expos will showcase landholder involvement\, land condition improvement and how extension officers can assist with land and livestock management. DESCRIPTION:BMRG are hosting a free field day at the restoration sites of the Kolan River Habitat Restoration Project.  Guests will take a tour through the sites that have undergone streambank remediation and repair and hear talks from the groups and partners involved in the project. This will be to demonstrate how the project is reducing river sediment loads into the Great Barrier Reef and improving fish habitat through bank stabilisation.
