DESCRIPTION:Bundaberg Fruit & Vegetable Growers (BFVG) is running a free 2-day course in negotiation and influencing at Fairymead House in Bundaberg. \nThe workshop has been developed for the horticulture industry by the horticulture industry. \nIt has been designed specifically to help growers navigate difficult conversations\, become better communicators\, and feel more confident in influencing conversations for a better outcome. It is intended to help develop personal capacity to negotiate and influence. \nTopics that will be covered include: \n\nControl and influence the conversation to get to better pricing outcomes\nPreparing effectively to combat wholesaler retail push\nIdentifying tactics and a strategy to respond\nUsing language to create cooperation\nManaging emotional and difficult conversations\nAvoiding conflict\n\nThe workshop is an initiative of the VegNET and VegPRO projects which are funded by peak\nindustry body Hort Innovation with vegetable grower levies and Australian Government\nfunding. \nNegotiations & Influencing is a FREE workshop with priority places for vegetable levy-paying growers and BFVG members.
