DESCRIPTION:The New Grower Workshop has been designed to help new and potential growers gather in-depth information about the macadamia industry and establish valuable grower connections. \nThe workshop is a comprehensive two day event that includes: \n\na FULL-DAY WORKSHOP where you’ll receive information and detailed advice about the Australian macadamia industry\, provided by our AMS executive team and other industry experts.\na FULL-DAY ORCHARD BUS TOUR where you’ll see some of Australia’s leading macadamia orchards and meet some of our best growers.\n\nDay 1 topics include: \n\norchard establishment\, design and varietal selection\npest and disease management\nintegrated orchard management practices\nkey areas to increase production per ha\nindustry average costs of production\, yield by region and average gross income\nresearch and development\, new technology and industry trends\n\nDay 2 \nThe second day will consist of a full day field trip to a range of orchards to talk directly with leading growers on a range of topics.
