DESCRIPTION:Participants of this course will be able to implement their learnings in their own workplace resulting in the efficient use of water for irrigation. This includes: \n\nThe efficient use of water to irrigate crops at various stages of growth\nUsing water efficiently by implementing best practice irrigation scheduling of irrigation events\nHelp to make decisions on the most cost efficient irrigation infrastructure upgrades to reduce water use.\n\n\n\nThis program consists of 2 x 4 hour virtual classroom delivery designed to provide students with the knowledge of irrigation efficiency techniques\, an understanding of basic irrigation design\, operation and maintenance of an efficient irrigation system. PLEASE NOTE the course is targeted to the Agricultural sector. \nCOURSE TOPICS \n\nirrigation system efficiency\nbasic irrigation system design principles\nthe irrigation water source\nsoil\, water\, crop relationships\nirrigation system flow rate requirements\nirrigation scheduling\nbasic system troubleshooting\nirrigation water use efficiency measures\nmeasuring irrigation uniformity\nirrigation precipitation rate\nirrigation controllers and monitors\ncompiling irrigation records\nhow to develop irrigation systems maintenance strategies\n\nPROGRAM \n\n2 x 4 hour virtual classroom sessions on Zoom\n9:30AM – 1:30PM ACST (daily)\n\nCOURSE FEES \n\nMember: $737 incl GST\nNon-Member: $1\,196.60 incl GST\n\nTo register click here!!
